In the morning:
8:00 AM: Our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City center and start the city tour. The first place to visit will be the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until the end of the war in April 1975.
After visiting the Reunification Palace, you will walk to see some French colonial structures, including Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Central Post Office.
Continue to Chinatown and visit Thien Hau Pagoda, which is dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea. Explore the highlights of this fascinating area, where intricate friezes, carved tableaux, and impressive incense coils make for great photo opportunities. Then, observe local street life as you walk through the narrow streets to Binh Tay Market, which sells everything from clothes to dried squid.
In the afternoon:
Have lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to visit the War Remnants Museum, where there is an extensive display related to the Indochina Wars. In the courtyard, large military vehicles are exhibited, along with the infamous “tiger cages,” giving visitors insight into the harsh conditions experienced by prisoners during wartime.
Inside the museum, each floor presents a different theme, showcasing the realities of the war and its impact on the Vietnamese people.
We conclude the city tour with a visit to Ben Thanh Market, where you can find a wide variety of goods, from clothing to local specialties.
4:00 PM: The driver and guide will transfer you back to your hotel. End of tour.
